It should be obvious by now that Bill Clinton is no "new democrat." His policies and appointments show that Clinton is, quite simply, a liberal.

Just what is a liberal anyway? Well, the word "liberal" means generous, open-hearted, freely giving of oneself. That is the meaning of the word, but the reality is rather different. Liberals are generous all right! They are willing, even eager, to give away things that are not theirs to give. They are zealous to give away, for example, your money, your right to defend yourself, your standards of morality, the life of the unborn. Until recently they were willing to give away half the world to communism. Most folks do not remember the betrayal of eastern Europe to Stalin at Yalta, the subversion of Chiang Kai-shek in favor of Mao in China, the help our State Department gave Castro in his enslavement of Cuba. Most will remember how a liberal president from Georgia gave the Panama Canal to a hostile Panamanian regime.

Liberals are generous with your tax dollars in financing illegal aliens, abortions, obscene and blasphemous "art" exhibitions, welfare waste and fraud, mountainous entitlements, condom distribution to minors, and ill-conceived foreign aid.

Liberals also want to give away your "right to bear arms." Liberals idolize the First Amendment and despise the Second. In the name of the Almighty First Amendment they would give anti-patriots the right to burn the flag, pornographers the right to corrupt children, irresponsible journalists the right to expose state secrets, rappers and rockers the right to vomit out their filth, racists like Louis Farrakhan the right to reinvent history along the lines of racial hatred. But they do not think you are responsible enough to defend your own home with a gun.

So you see the way in which a liberal such as Bill Clinton is true to the name. He is no more generous with his own possessions than anyone else. But he is extremely generous with things that belong to others.
