A Friendly Word to My Black
Neighbors
How I wish that African-Americans would realize that
it's conservatives who are their true friends, not liberal Democrats. We want to hold you to the same standards as other citizens; they want
to keep you a permanent underclass--loyal, dependent clients. We
believe it's not your race, but your culture, that dooms you to
perpetual disadvantage. Your so-called benefactors and self-anointed
leaders, such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, want to keep you
dependent on them, like helpless children. They make a real good living
promoting racial division, paranoia, envy. They assume that you'll
always be ex-slaves who need special privileges. We believe you're
capable of better things--of responsible, productive citizenship. We
invite you to live and work alongside us as equals, neighbors and
friends. My dear black neighbor, nothing in your gene pool predisposes you to crime, poverty and illegitimacy. It's your culture that's inferior, not you. It isn't your race, but your culture, that fills the jails with young black men and the projects with little black, fatherless children. As long as your leaders teach you to blame all your problems on white oppression, you'll never recognize their real causes. And that's just what they want. They feed your paranoia, work to keep you perpetual victims, and enlist you in their plan to make us all a nation of dependants. My dear black brothers, marry the mothers of your children and make godly Christian homes for them. Fire Jesse and Al and your Democratic rulers; assert your manhood and independence. You're not inferior, as they want you to believe: you're men made in God's image. They've brainwashed you, those benefactors of yours. They know that once you quit assuming that all whites are racists, you'll discover great good will in the white community. What will they do for a living then? |
